The Government of Nepal has appointed Maheshwar Bhakta Shrestha as the Executive Chairman of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC). The appointment was made following a Cabinet decision, entrusting him with the responsibility of leading the country's national flag carrier.
Shrestha is recognized for his experience in Nepal's aviation and tourism sectors. Prior to this appointment, he had been serving as a member of the Board of Directors of Nepal Airlines Corporation, contributing to the airline's strategic and operational development.
As Executive Chairman, Shrestha is expected to focus on strengthening the airline's institutional management, improving operational efficiency, enhancing passenger services, expanding international connectivity, and reinforcing the corporation's financial sustainability.
Nepal Airlines currently operates both domestic and international flights and plays a vital role in supporting Nepal's tourism industry by connecting the country with key regional and global destinations.
